Providing A Ministry To Your Pastor!

Downtime Ministries is a Christ-centered, faith-based, non-profit, non-denominational ministry dedicated to providing encouragement and a time of relaxation to the Pastors, Christian Leaders and their families who serve the flock of Christ. We use our experience and wisdom gained through the grace of Christ Jesus to provide our Christian leaders with a “moment in time” in which they can enjoy the sport of fishing and some quality Christian fellowship. 

We realize that our Christian leaders are in a spiritual battle with Satan on a daily basis, and that he is aiming to destroy every servant proclaiming the Word of God.  

Downtime Ministries is our way of supporting our Christian leaders in the Body of Christ, becoming a partner with them in their battle and interceding for them with prayer and heart-warming hospitality. This ministry, inspired by God through Captain Mike Eberstein and Win Matteson, operates as a charitable 501(C)3 corporation, supported by tax-deductible donations. Support from local churches and organizations, no matter what the denomination is welcomed.

Minister To Your Pastor 

We invite any church Christian leader(s) to join us for a fun-filled time of our favorite sport, fishing, which can be custom tailored to the needs and time restraints for each person or group. 

This Ministry can offer the following type of outings: 

Local Area Lake Fishing Trips

There is nothing wrong with taking a short drive and experiencing many of the local area lakes in West Michigan for great pan fish, bass and trout fishing. Since there are so many places to visit that are conveniently located within a short commuting distance, these outings are very popular and can be easily arranged.

One Day Fishing Trips

On an inland lake or on Lake Michigan, early in the morning or late in the afternoon, a several hour outing can be scheduled. Enjoy a sunrise or sunset on the lake, catch a few fish, and relax as our experienced staff provides you with all the necessary equipment to bring home your prizes of the day! Maybe you might enjoy Walleye fishing on the east side of the state, that can be arranged too! 

Two Day Fishing Trips

Usually on Lake Michigan at our “Camp Pentwater” location, arrive late in the afternoon for some night fishing, enjoy a meal at one of the local restaurants, sleep over at our “summer home” near the lake, rise early the next morning and catch the big ones. Leave mid-afternoon with a cooler full of fish! 

Extended Fishing Trips

On Lake Michigan at our “Camp Pentwater” location, or in the Upper Peninsula at our “Camp UP” location, we can arrange for longer outings if time permits, while you hunt for the local anglers prizes such as pike, bass, trout, and many others. 

Arrival and departure times can be arranged to fit your schedule. 

Sponsor Your Pastor 

Since Downtime Ministries is non-profit, serving the needs of all Pastors and Christian leaders, providing valuable quality “downtime” does have some costs involved. You can provide your Pastor or anyone that is in need of some quality time off by sponsoring them with a financial gift that will be appreciated for years to come!  

Gift Certificate For Your Pastor

If you, your church or organization would like to give a “love gift” to your Pastor or Christian leader, we can provide a gift certificate to the individual(s) for the amount of your choosing so they can make arrangements to utilize our unique blessing to their needs. 

Supporting The Ministry

Our ministry is fully supported through donations, and church support, so that we can continue to provide this valuable service to the people who serve Christ in your behalf. Your consideration of a single gift, or on-going support of this ministry would be greatly appreciated.
